A Journey Across Cultures
There is a natural tendency to search for the beginning.
The first moment.
The first truth.
The one story that explains everything.
But as you move through these pages, you may notice something different.
There is not one beginning.
There are many.
And each one tells a different truth.
Every beginning tells a different truth.
Not because one is right and another is wrong—but because each belongs to the people who carried it, lived it, and understood the world through it.
These stories were not created to compete with one another.
They were created to make sense of existence—from within a particular place,
a particular time, a particular way of seeing.
Think of it like this:
Each culture wears its own pair of sunglasses.
One lens may be shaped by earth and clay.
Another by water and movement.
Another by sky, spirit, or survival.
And through each lens, the world appears differently.
Not incorrectly—but differently.
Too often, we look at other cultures and believe we understand them.
We compare.
We interpret.
We explain.
But we do so while still wearing our own lens.
To truly encounter another story, we must be willing—if only for a moment—to set our own aside.
To borrow another.
To see as they saw.
This collection is not asking you to choose a single truth.
It invites you to experience many.
To step into each story as it is offered—without needing to resolve it,
without needing to measure it, without needing to make it agree with the others.
Because something remarkable happens when we do this.
We begin to see that these stories are not separate from us.
They are reflections of the same questions:
Where did we come from?
What are we made of?
What does it mean to be here?
And perhaps, more importantly—they remind us that understanding is not found in certainty.
It is found in perspective.
As you move through this journey, I invite you to read slowly.
To pause.
To notice not just what each story says—but how it feels.
What it values.
What it reveals.
What it assumes to be true.
You are not simply reading about beginnings.
You are stepping into them.
Trying them on.
Seeing through them.
And when you return to your own—you may find that it has changed.
Not because it was replaced.
But because it has expanded.
There is no single story that explains everything.
But there is something deeply human in the act of trying.
Enjoy the journey!
